Even though they sleep for up to 8 or 9 hours a night, many people wake up feeling exhausted. This could be because their minds were in a state of tension when they went to bed. If you have trouble 'dropping off' you could try slowing down your breathing, eg counting up to 4 on the in breath and up to 8 on the out breath. Mentally look for the point of stillness at the end of the 'in' and 'out' breath. I will be coming up with some more relaxation tips in the near future.
