'Fat around the middle' is a great book on weight loss by Dr. Marilyn Glenville. This is a healthy eating plan that cuts out all sugars (except fruit), alcohol, milk and caffeine. It is really easy to understand and stick to. By eating (sensibly) every 3 hours you can avoid the sugar lows which manifest as cravings. Dr. Glenville also explains how long term stress contributes to fat around the middle and how this is the most dangerous place to have fat, exposing us to diabetes, heart disease, thyroid malfunction and possibly cancer. There are great tips on exercise too. Learn that by doing a little exercise with weights 3 times a week, you can build muscle, which will increase your metabolism and burn more fat. It has to be worth it!
