Words of wisdom

There are sadistic scientists who hurry to hunt down errors instead of establishing the truth.

Leadership

Leadership can be exciting, challenging, scary, fulfilling, a nightmare...rewarding.  Personally, I have found that the most rewarding leading I have been involved with is leading my sons into adulthood and achieving their goals in sport.  Sharing with them my knowledge of Neuro Linguisitic Programming and teaching them how they could use it in their lives to achieve better results has been an absolute privilege and great fun (as good learning often is).  To be a great leader you need to be able to lead yourself.  The most entertaining element of it is when they start reminding me of howmy NLP skills could help me through a bad mood!

Qepwpcamvazjbcapykpaqcage8jrfca55h3 No, these aren't my sons but they are two great achievers.  They have had to lead themselves to get there.  Mine are just too shy...

Here's a link to a great site which will give you more good stuff about leadership http://www.nwlink.com/~donclark/leader/leadcon.html

Allergy Testing and Elimination NAET

NAET is an Allergy Testing and Elimination technique which can have incredible results.  It works on the body's energies, teaching the nervous system how to respond appropriately to allergens.  For example, my youngest son had bad hay fever symptoms.  When tested using NAET, he reacted badly to pollens and plastics.  The NAET protocol allows his immune system to recognise pollens and plastics as energies that will no longer trouble him.  After approx. 15 treatments he is 90% better.

If you suffer symptoms such as respiratory disorders, headaches, fatigue, emotional imbalance, muscle and joint pains, PMS, digestive disorders or other ongoing health issues you may discover that they are due to allergies.  Give me a call on 07817959161 and let's see if I can help.  I am in the Bedfordshire area.

Got allergies?  Get NAET!

Well Being Road Show Milton Keynes

91_karrinlawrence I have recently met an interesting and dynamic Coach called Karrin Lawrence.  Karrin attended my yoga class in Milton Keynes and then asked me if I would be interested in working with her on a Well Being Road Show (website coming soon.)  The theme of the event would be to offer bite size one hour sessions of ways to improve your emotional and physical well being.  I loved the idea of the Road Show.  Holistic, fun, informative and way to meeting others who are interested in taking their lives to the next step.  We are still in the planning stages, but I will tell you more as things move along.

In the meantime let me tell you a bit more about my new coaching friend.

Karrin has created an expert (Audio) Coaching CD series.  Each CD is written and recorded by a Coaching in their field, which for me is the exciting part.  The CDs cover the areas of spirituality, family, educatin, work and career, relationships, personal development, health and fitness and fun and recreation.  The titles include:

The Be Happy Coach; The Coaching Children for Parents Coach; The Public Speaking Coach; The Self Belief Coach; The New Managers Coach; The Revision Coach; The Birthing Coach; The Discover your Excellence Coach and The Dating Coach.

Take a look at Karrin's website www.thecoachcollection.com to find out how you can buy the CD to change your life!

Global warming - there is hope!

I don't know about you but sometimes I wonder why I open a newspaper.  Every day there is a story about how we won't be able to feed ourselves, or our homes will be worthless, that is if they are not washed away by floods! No wonder depression and anxiety in the western world is at an all time high!

Anyway, my good friend Claire Raikes www.businessblogangel.com and I had a chat about all this global warming stuff tonight.  We both believe that there is some out of the box thinking that needs to be done. Fortunately there are those who are doing it...

This week the Daily Telegraph ran another doom and gloom story on how we are going to feed ourselves.  I don't know why I read it as these things usually depress me, but I am glad that I did.  At the end of the article there was a ray of hope provided by Dr. Richard Murphy and his research team from Plant Sciences in Imperial College London. They are busy working away at the idea of producing fuel from waste and woody crops that are grown on marginal land, Africa being an idea location, and I quote " this fuel could be as cheap as chips".  Hurrah for Dr. Murphy and his team!

For me the important thing about this story is that despite what the newspapers and media keep telling us there are undoubtedly many clever people like Dr. Murphy who are beavering away and who WILL come up with at least one answer and I believe that the best way to help them is to keep our belief in them strong and stop listening to those who tell us that we are all doomed!

I am very interested to hear from anyone else who is on the path of new, planet enhancing sources of energy that would be available cheaply to all.

PS If there is anyone out there who writes for newspapers please could we have some cheerful stuff on a regular basis?

Elizabeth Kubler Ross

"It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had." ~ Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Hence I take more time to walk in the woods, listen to the bird song,  cuddle my cat and drive my sports car!

Negotiating a win-win solution

Suppose you are going to enter into an important negotiation in your life.  Perhaps you've spotted the home of your dreams.  How can NLP help you to get the best deal when you're confronted by an estate agent pushing you to buy the new house at the highest rate while selling your current one as low as possible?  By giving you principles and strategies you can use to everybody's advantage.  Those same principles apply if you're negotiating for a job, buying a car, hiring contract staff at work or allocating jobs to your teenage sons (that's me again!).

  • Go for the positive outcome - begin with your desired result in mind.  Talk in positive language.  Always focus on what you want rather than what you don't want.
  • Engage your senses - make your outcome more specific by noticing what it will look like, sound like, and feel like when you have achieved a successful negotiation.
  • Note down your criteria or hot buttons - focus on five key elements that are important to you in making the move.  Put them in order of priority and keep returning to them to check you are getting what you want.
