Motivation

The trouble with so many of us is that we underestimate the power of simplicity. We have a tendency it seems to over complicate our lives and forget what's important and what's not. We tend to mistake movement for achievement. We tend to focus on activities instead of results. And as the pace of life continues to race along in the outside world, we forget that we have the power to control our lives regardless of what's going on outside.

Dr. Joe Dispenza

Dr. Joe Dispenza is a favourite for me. He is an American Chiropractor and has a passion for neuroscience. He is featured (and some, including me, say he is the star) in the cult film What the Bleep? His book, Evolve your Brain, Change your Mind is terrific for anyone interested in understanding why we are the way we are.  His interest in neuroscience began when he was in an horrific road accident in his early twenties.  Surgery for severe back injuries was recommended but he guessed that could mean the end of his career.  So, he set forth to heal himself and remarkably he did.

Go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE8yP5PPdHU to listen to 30 mins of him talk about how to change the way your mind works so that you can retire those old programmes that your subconscious runs that so often hold us back.

part time retirement

Are you 50 or over and ever wanted part time retirement?  Go to www.matureandmultitalented.com to meet some ladies who wanted to do a little of what they were good at to earn an income.  They posted notices in their local shop advertising their talents and they were soon snowed under and had to draft in help!  What a great idea. Isn't it amazing how creative we can be about finding new types of work when we begin to focus?

Just today I coached a client who wants to get off that crazy treadmill of continuous stress of high pressure in corporate life.  There can come a time when we begin to weigh up the pros and cons of a demanding career and ask ourselves if the income, status etc is worth the sacrifice of time with family and friends, good mental and physical health, time to spend doing something other than earning that crust...

3385ycag2aqhicabbxtpncaqohvq0ca1pjq Begin asking yourself, what would part time low stress work give me?  What am I willing to give up to have better work life balance?  What is the worst that could happen if I did it?  What will the state of my health be in say, 5 years time if I don't make a change?  What skills do I have that would help me find another job, or...begin my own business?  Give me a call if I you need to be coached through this 07817959161.

Unlimited Success

Thomas Edison believed he had discovered the means by which a machine records and reproduces the sound of the human voice, he called in a Model Maker, gave him a rough pencil drawing of his idea and asked that a working model be built.  'Impossible! ' was the reply.

"What makes you think it won't work?" Edison asked.

"Because nobody has ever made a mahcine that could talk." exclaimed the Model Maker.

Fortunately Edison didn't give up, his mind didn't work that way. He stayed focused on believing there was a way and that just because something had not been done before, didn't mean it couldn't happen.  The model was completed and worked first time, much to the surprise of the model maker.

How did staying focused help Edison?  He used his unconscious mind. The unconscious mind has unlimited powers that we can tap into. I am often asked, how do I do that?  It is simple, just talk to it.  Let go of the self limiting talk, and talk to it as if it were a person, send it off to find a way to meet your challenge and expect an answer.  Be patient, the answer does not always appear immediately.  It may not appear as you would expect.  You may read a magazine article, meet someone to help you or yes, even have a flash of intuition.  Your unconscious mind believes and acts upon the spoken word, but also your thoughts. the more you repeat it, the more it 'gets' it and will set off to find a way to help.  It is so very powerful, just go ahead and use it.  It is sitting there waiting, probably underused...and please let me know your results...hello@berylwhiting.com
