Happiness at work

Can you have happiness at work?  Now, before you answer, take a few moments to really really consider your reply.  There are those who would immediately respond, no way, work sucks, can't wait for Friday, wnt to win the lottery and give up work. But have they thought through what the benefits of work are?   

I know people who find it very difficult to work through ill health.  Consequently they miss out on:

  • having a reason to get up in the morning
  • having social interaction, just the general chit chat that goes with being with work colleagues
  • self-esteem - it is great when someone tells you that you are really making a difference to the team; workplace; sales results etc
  • 70% people meet their life partner through work

Please add to this list and let me know what you would miss by not being at work...

This of course is all a case of Attitude (which is just a collection of thoughts).  If you are struggling with my ideas here, just take a step back and reconsider the way you look at work.  Of course if it still sucks, then what are the options open to you?  That's a list for another day!

Abundance magic

So you want to be abundant?  Of course you do, who doesn't?  It is my belief that to achieve abundance you need to get into the feeling of abundance.  This will crank up the quantum field and put you in alignment with the vibrational energy of what you want.  So how do we get to feel abundant when we keep hearing those voices telling us that high earnings are not for us, a great family life and personal relationship are out of our reach, the career we want can't come our way without a college education?  Does all this sound familiar? I bet it does.

So, here's the shift.  Start looking at what is ALREADY showing up in abundance in your life.  First things first, what about your health?  If you have great health the world is your oyster.  Give thinks for this one big time.  Do you have food and drink available to you whenever you need it?  Most likely the answer is yes if we are to believe the news on the growing obesity issue.  So make that list.  Look around you. The marvels of technology. The wonder of natural beauty. Identifying Limting Beliefs

So why don't I always achieve my goals?  Hmmm...I set them well (SMART), but they don't materialize, what happens?

Let's look at identifying the limiting beliefs around achieving your goals.  Say each of the following out loud, substituting whatever your goal is where it says (my goal) and score it for 'congruence' in your voice.  A score of one means that you do not believe the statement, and ten means that you completely believe the statement.

1.   ‘I deserve to achieve (my goal).’

2.   ‘I have the skills and abilities necessary to achieve (my goal).’

Do not believe                    Completely believe

3.   ‘It is possible to achieve (my goal).’

Do not believe                      Completely believe

4.  ‘(My goal) is clear.’

5.  ‘(My goal) is desirable.’

6.  ‘(My goal) is ecological.’

7.  ‘(My goal) is worthwhile.’

Do not believe                      Completely believe

One means that they do not believe the statement, and ten means that they completely believe the statement.

For each of these questions where you scored less than ten ask yourself... why am I doubtful?  What could be making me doubt this? 

ASKING THESE QUESTIONS OF YOURSELF WILL REVEAL THE REASONS WHY YOU ARE NOT ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS.

So, having identified your limiting beliefs, you need to find a way to change those limiting beliefs into enabling beliefs.
